The Apprenticeship Community Support HeartKids

We’re all about strengthening our community – through strong local connections, meaningful employment and volunteering.

At the end of last year, our team volunteered with HeartKids – a national not-for-profit that supports and advocates for all people impacted by childhood heart disease. As the largest cause of infant death in Australia, we knew it was a charity we wanted to help.

Our team built 5 bikes for the charity, putting our engineering and problem-solving skills to the test! Our staff just loved doing this, especially meeting some of the kids when they came in to get their bikes. Their smiles were incredible.

Like The Apprenticeship Community, HeartKids puts the community at the centre of everything they do. That’s one of the reasons they make it so easy for people to get involved to help change the lives of people impacted by congenital or acquired heart disease. These include fundraising, joining campaigns, buying raffle tickets, partnerships, volunteering, registering for events and more!

Take a look at their Sweetheart Day campaign, it’s a great way to show your love to your community. Just donate on 14 February and your donation will be doubled! Find out more and donate here.
